Her professional debut was when she was only 14 years young. She was the youngest person to ever be a winner of the Fed Cup match for Russia. She reached the U.S Open at 15 years old and also she reached the Wimbledon semi-finals when she was sixteen years old. Then she had to stop playing professional tennis because of back pain at age 21.
